What is a Station?
A persistent, private workspace where your coding agents can keep their tools, repository, and context ready between sessions.
A computer for the work, not another chat
A Defang Station is a dedicated cloud machine prepared for agent-driven software work. Claude Code and Codex can live beside the repository and development tools they need, without making your laptop the always-on server.
The simple model
You bring the agent account and the code. Station provides the persistent place to work.
What persists
- Your working tree and project files.
- The terminal sessions where agents are running.
- The machine-level tools and configuration your project needs.
- Control-plane lifecycle history so launches and destruction are auditable.
How the pieces fit
The app quietly creates a Solar System for your account and aPlanet as its first project boundary. Your Stations live on that Planet. The hierarchy stays out of the way today, but gives future projects a clean trust boundary without moving existing machines later.
What Station does not replace
Station does not sell or proxy an Anthropic or OpenAI subscription. It does not own your Git history, and the control plane does not collect your agent credentials. It gives the tools you already chose a durable, isolated place to run.
The current plan
The MVP presents one Station plan at $39/month. Billing automation and additional compute tiers are not represented as finished features until they are actually connected.
