Connect your accounts

Authenticate Claude Code and Codex inside your Station using each provider’s official flow. Your provider credentials stay on the machine.

Connect once your Station is ready

You do not pick an agent up front. Claude Code and Codex are installed on every Station, and connecting one signs it in to the subscription you already pay for. Connect the other whenever you want it.

  1. Sign up. Your Station starts building straight away, and takes five or six minutes.
  2. When it is ready, open the connection card for Claude Code or Codex. The first-run flow puts the card in front of you; afterwards the cards live on your Station page.
  3. Press connect. Claude Code shows a sign-in link and asks you to paste the code Anthropic gives you back into the card. Codex shows a one-time code you enter at ChatGPT.
  4. The card turns green when the provider’s own status check confirms the sign-in worked.

Every one of those steps runs on your Station: the sign-in is the provider’s own CLI flow, executed on your machine, and the credential is written there.

Never paste a key into a Defang page

Defang does not need your Anthropic or OpenAI token. If a screen on the marketing site or the dashboard asks for one, stop and report it.

Where credentials live

Provider authentication material is written by the provider’s own CLI inside your Station. Defang never receives it: it is not in our database and not in any dashboard response. Destroying the Station removes its workspace and those credentials with it.

Google sign-in is different

Google may be offered as a way to sign in to the Station dashboard. That identity proves who you are to Defang Station; it does not connect Google to Claude Code or Codex, and it grants no access to your repositories.
